We all have different bodies with different histories of injury/truama and patterns of movement and behaviour - there is no "one size fits all" in yoga. The same is true of our inner world. We all have different levels of confidence, peace and contentment. We all react differently to similar situations.
The path of yoga can help all of us grow and develop our strategies for living, but the path is a complex mixture of attutude, behaviour, breath, awareness and intropspection. It's just not possible to learn the whole process in a standard yoga class. Even at the most basic level of the physical postures, individual instruction is the fast track to safely and quickly mastering the techniques.
